Time to Shine
The magic of movement, dance and theatre for children who love to move but whose special needs may not suit the structure and pace of a mainstream dance class.
Place: 3/36 Curzon St, Tennyson.
Who: This class is just for kids and we encourage parents to drop and go as we have limited parking and waiting facilities. There is a lovely park and coffee shop just 30 seconds down the road. We will ensure we have your mobile number and contact you immediately if we need you to return.
Open Day: As no parents are allowed to watch regular classes we have an open day at the end of term two (June) Parents and friends will be invited to come along to class and see what our clever dancers have achieved.
Wear: Clothes that are comfy and easy to move in. Fancy dress is fine. Bare feet.
Price: $215 per term. Fees are payable the first week of term. Classes run in four terms each year that align with school terms (approx 10 weeks each)
Class limits: Class is limited to a maximum of twelve students
Enrolment: An interview is required for enrolment and numbers are strictly limited. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org to book your interview.
Performance: All students have the chance to perform in our exciting end of year concert.
Insurance: We are covered by a $20 million public liability policy. All our teachers have suitable qualifications and a blue card from the Commission for Children and Young People.
Parking: We are in an industrial area and need to be considerate of our neighbours. Please take care never to park in the covered – these are used by our staff and the other businesses. You are most welcome to park in the uncovered parks in the complex and there is also street parking.
Program: Our program is written and implemented by two specialist early childhood and special needs trained teachers. Over the year students will learn to
*Move with increased control, confidence and coordination.
*Move with an awareness of the body in space.
*Demonstrate a developing sensitivity to music
*Express feelings and emotions through music and movement
