The Royal Academy of Dance is a renowned classical ballet syllabus that is taught worldwide. We are honoured to be selected to teach this outstanding syllabus. We also fortunate to have our studio leader Olivia work extensively for the RAD in their teacher training programs.
The syllabus begins with a wonderful preschool program for 2-4 year olds called “Dance to Your Own Tune” We teach parts of this syllabus in our Mummy and Me and Just Me classes every Saturday.
The introductory grade is Pre Primary ideal for children turning 5&6 during the year. We offer Pre Primary class twice a week and this syllabus is also taught as part of our Little Stars program.
Primary is the next step and at this level the first exciting examination is offered. To be eligible students must turn 7 during the year. It is possible to attend just once a week but both classes each week are required to sit exam.
Grades 1-4 – Progressive grades for 7 to 12 year olds. Require 2 classes per week. Included as part of Performance Program.
Vocational grades from 11+ introduce pointe work and more advanced choreography. 2.75+ hours per week required to sit examinations.
